I waited in anticipation for this retreat!  LCF is local and therefore I was able to meet with Dana, Kaye and Roxie for lunch one day.  With most of my conferences being out of town, I rarely get this pleasure.  Walking in on Friday was like walking into my own church’s retreat, I knew quite a few ladies and the ones I didn’t know treated me like they did…And that says a lot about a church!  Friday night started with Dana and Kaye sitting me down and praying over me…There is simply no greater way to begin a retreat!

When I think back, the first thought I have is how amazing, that an event which was only 24 hours long could feel like a 3 day retreat!  That’s how mightily God moved in each of our sessions, through worship and our times of fellowship!  God was free to move because this was a group of ladies who hearts were open to all He had for them.  And the part we will never forget and always rejoice over, are the ladies who will forever remember September  27, 2008 the day their names were written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!!!  There were also those who rededicated their lives to the Lord and found their hearts refreshed and their minds renewed!

In the midst of learning to forgive, submit and choosing not to be offended we had a blast!  From the icebreakers I had never experienced before to the Karaoke, this group of ladies know how to have a good time!  I must say this, Kaye off caffeine and Kaye on caffeine are two totally different people! And while on the topic of Kaye…thank you for teaching us about the TRUE meaning of sacrificial giving, that it must cost us something!  Your amazing and anointed teaching from 1 Chron 21:24  "But King David replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on paying the full price. I will not take for the Lord what is yours, or sacrifice a burnt offering that costs me nothing" ministered deeply to me and My Donnie!  And thank you LCF for blessing Donnie and I in a way that we have never been blessed before and will simply never forget!

I could go on and on about this retreat, my mind is so full!  Faye, leading us into the Presence of God through worship was wonderful and it was great to minister alongside another Husband & wife team!  Barb, --- & --- you labored behind my table and really blessed My Donnie.  He wishes he could take you on the road with us (wink)!  I received many kind words of encouragement spoken to me in regard to my ministry.  I hold them closely and will take them with me wherever I go.

I know there were a few who were involved in my coming to be the speaker for this retreat, Barb Miller for one, who referred me in the first place…I love you dear friend!  But I want to thank Roxie, for reaching out to me some time ago and being an extension of His Hand and making me a part of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship!  Keep an eye out for us because LCF is in our backyard and we may just stop in on a Sunday for some fellowship!  We love you, Me & My Donnie
