Where do I begin to write about Northplace??? Home comes to mind, but Northplace is too far away from Celina to be our home church and trust me we tried! So the better description would be friends, yes friends, and it's always good to be with your friends!
Going Deeper was our theme and I believe we did, and ever true to His Word in Jeremiah 29:13, we sought Him and we found Him as we went deep and sought Him with all our hearts! Friday night we came to the alter to kneel at the feet of Jesus, some to pray for unsaved loved ones, some to rededicate their lives to Him and some came to His Feet for the first time, Hallelujah! There was one who shared with me that she had heard God speak to her specifically for the first time through something I said. God is very personal with us, He knows us perfectly and we learned about that Saturday. He knows the very number of hairs on our head, His thoughts of us outnumber the sands of the sea, He knows when we sit and when we rise and He perceives our thoughts from afar…How encouraging to know the God of the Universe is always all about us!
This memoir would not be complete if I did not mention, “The Jesus Loves Me Girls!” Wow! They were contagious and they loved God out loud - the way we all should express in one form or another, how awesome is our God!
On a very personal note I reconnected with a dear friend who loves me unconditionally! No matter what she goes through (and she has been through a lot!). Her love for God and others is consistent. We often say “God’s timing is perfect” and it is…you see, the last message I spoke on Saturday afternoon was, “Do Not Engage! A Message on Forgiveness.” Well, I had some asking for forgiveness to deal with before I got up and shared this powerful message! In the busyness of life I had lost touch with this dear friend at a time in her life when she needed me the most. I will never forget the moments we shared in that side room of the Sanctuary. God’s Word was truly living and active between us. I asked her to forgive me for neglecting her and she instantly, without reservation, accepted it! We didn’t hash over the whys, the hows, the reasons and excuses, we just let God do the work and didn’t get in His way by discussing it to death!
Northplace as it always is, was a place where the Holy Spirit is given free reign to do as He pleases in and through us all. I love you my friends and I know you love me too and I am so grateful for that!
